Coffee okay for diner coffee. 2 stars: walked in as someone was checking out so I stepped to the side so they could walk out the door. Someone else walked up to check out after and I allowed them to step past me (all the while three workers were milling around the register and one even smiled at me). ?Jim? walked in and they said ?Hi Jim where do you want to sit?? He pointed and he walked past me and was seated. Another couple walked in and she greeted them and asked how many the gentleman pointed to me. I was seated and everything fine got one refill of coffee no water refill. I was done with my food and waited? nearly 15 minutes before anyone returned while I watched all the tables around me finish and leave. I finally got my box and check and was able to pay the bill at the counter. If they know you your service will be fantastic. ???????? I will return again minus the coffee and see how it goes.
Great food, awesome service, friendly atmosphere! Definitely a hidden gem!
We discovered Hoot's Breakfast and Lunch Diner on our recent trip to Marco Island ????. Hoot's is definitely a hidden gem ???? off the beaten path. We liked everything from the food, decor, atmosphere, and staff. I don't know how the chef did it, I had the best poached eggs I've ever eaten. I ordered the crab ???? cakes Benedict, absolutely delicious, you could really taste the crab ???? and the hashbrowns were cooked perfectly, just the right amount of crunch ????.
The Andouille Scramble was fabulous! It also came with red beans and rice with chopped raw onion. The best breakfast ever! Also, the Reuben sandwich was excellent thick cut corned beef on marbled rye.
To be honest, Hoot 's was a fall back location because the more popular eatery down the way was overly packed and had an excessive wait time. But that may have been a blessing in disguise. The location has a clean small diner style setting with a couple of tables in the open dining area. Additionally there were a few tables for outside. All in all, the food was delicious, the service was excellent and the prices weren 't outrageous for being in a tourist area (Marco Island). I 'd be comfortable coming back here for breakfast any day, and wouldn 't skip a beat about not hitting up the other place. You can 't complain too much about good food and good service...
