One staff member was a little on the curt side and could perhaps temper her responses to customers which could be seen as bad mannered
When we turned up they tried to force me to install a QR code on my telephone. When I refused the manager tried to remove us from the centre. Eventually we got serviced outside of the building. The manager did not know where Bloomfield Beach is and when I said that it is somewhere 50 km from Cooktown she said ahhh...that is no our area. Well, what can I say it is circa 220 km from Mareeba. So they do not have knowledge about QR, social contact tracing, and what to do if somebody does not have QR or mobile phone. And that that they cannot force me to install QR and they cannot , under the current law refuse service including restaurant. DO NOT GO NEAR THERE OR COMPMAIN TO THE POLICE.
Good coffee very convenient if you are visiting the Museum: appear to have a good cake selection but no gluten free options at the time we visited.
The lunch was superb. open seating eating area. We went with a family group of 12 and no problem with seating.
Had a light lunch. Everything rather dry, not sure why, there was no reason for it. Has had a lot of bad reviews about their food. I had planned on having lunch at Coffeeworks, but that was closed.
