The Bull's Head - Margate

Had a couple of pints here but it wasn't that welcoming. The guy with the cowboy boots was pretty rude too. That didn't help. £6.75 a pint . BBQ food looked terrible. Could do a better job myself. The other staff were nice though.

Looks like a nice little hip place but was confused by pricing and judging by others they were also. I didn’t eat food, just ordered a drink so wasn’t aware that the service charge would apply to me just having a drink. Makes sense why my drink was nearly £8 However the bar staff and owners all seem lovely and decent people Judging by other review I’ll probably be in for a cocky response to my review but that’s ok they are entitled to respond as much as I am to review Only stopped by cause I see the bbq going but £12 for a bbq burger….I’ll pass I wish the business the best of luck in the future but wasn’t the vibe I was looking for Good luck

I’m afraid I agree with one of the other reviews re: the service charge. I ordered a pint and was expecting to be charged the £6 chalked up on the board. When I queried the additional 75p service charge, I was told it was clearly stated on the board, which it was down at the bottom but as I was inside the bar and the pint was handed straight to me where is the service element? A point I raised at the time. Surely at this point the server ? should have said it was optional? Instead it was bluntly stated that it was on the board and so my own fault for not reading it properly. Anyone, lesson learned. I won’t be back.

Wow what a venue! Classy, and in no way pretentious. Staff are fabulous too! Will definitely be back here

We found this gem by accident , they do a BBQ on a Sat and Sun and it smelt amazing ! Unfortunately they had stopped serving food , the chef came and said there was some food left over and if would like to have it ! It was a ground beef flat bread and a corn Thai inspired dish, all I can say it wow ! The food and flavours were amazing ! We chatted to all the friendly staff and owner and we will definitely be back , we wish you lots of luck x
