This Italian restaurant is our favorite spot to dine. We are always greeted warmly and well taken care of. The food is delicious and reasonably priced!

Ok, first a preamble. I am Italian and I came here as an adult after living the majority of my life in Italy, until aged 37. I have always highlighted the fact that it is almost impossible to find authentic Italian food in Australia, and...what is commonly believed to be Italian Style , has nothing to do with it, at least with what is being served in the mother land...... Now.......I dined at Sorriso for a couple of reasons: the memory of a restaurant by the same name in Italy, and wanting to try what I think is their signature dish Spaghetti allo scoglio . I found the food simply unbelievable, with all the constraints dictated by the inability of sourcing the same ingredients chefs use overseas. The mussels were really good, and the spaghetti met the expectations, even though the seafood was limited by what is available here, which is of course very different by what is available there. In any case, thumbs up, and I will go back as they deserve every dollar spent for food of this quality. And to those who claim that this is not Italian Food....please, take a couple of months off and go to Italy, before posting such negative reviews which have no grounds and look really stupid in between all the goods ones who other patrons have left.

This is a little place with a big heart. Have you ever been in some minor town in Italy, where they have a local cafe that all the locals go to? Well this is just like that, but an Australian version. This is never going...to be Grossi Florentino, It has no pretensions, but you will be served from a limited menu, a range of simple dishes that are made with honesty, affection and generosity. The house wine is good, both red and white. The service is friendly and the production in the kitchen is tireless. You will be welcomed with a friendly smile here. Personally, I feel that I need to support local restaurants like these, who provide an honest hospitality, that if we do not patronise, we may lose. So I for one, will be visiting more regularly.
