I've been going here for years, and even though the new location is a bit smaller, the food, cozy atmosphere, and especially the hospitality remains wonderful. The quality and flavor of rolls and sashimi are super fresh, and their udon is so good. 11/10 will always recommend this place as a gem : !Note that due to how small the place is it can get very hectic and sometimes disorganized with trying to call in orders and waiting, but regular weekdays are usually never a problem.
Quaint Japanese restaurant located behind Sherlock's in the Kroger shopping center. We ordered calamari, tempura appetizer, and 3 sushi rolls. All the food was delicious.Food: 5/5
I ordered the sashimi dinner. It comes with mackerel, squid and octopus along with salmon, tuna, red snapper (I may be wrong) and white tuna. The squid, octopus and mackerel were delicious, wonderful and I enjoyed them immensely. The other fish were quite good, but I have always enjoyed the three I just mentioned.Stop by and try it out.
Really authentic food, the owner is super sweet and thoughtful. I’m a big eater and she wanted to make sure l didn’t get too much food and waste it, which was so thoughtful. The food was really authentic and tasted amazing. I was actually blown away by the flavors of everything, the outside of the building is so unassuming and simple, but waking in feels like you’ve entered a nice small izakaya. OISHI!!!!
Awesome place! Traditional and authentic Japanese food, everything we have tried so far has been absolutely delicious and reminded us of our time in Japan. Sushi, sashimi, tempura, katsu, teriyaki, soba, udon…all outstanding. The prices are reasonable and the owners and staff a friendly and gracious. The dining area is small but we’ll worth the wait.
