Despite specifically ordering gluten-free items, including chicken saltimbocca and a gluten-free pizza, my wife discovered after two bites that there was bread in the dish. When I called the restaurant to inquire, I was told that only the pasta that came with the dish was gluten-free. This kind of carelessness with allergies is unacceptable. The manager's excuse that the pasta was a replacement for the gluten-free option is ridiculous. It is important for a restaurant to inform customers if only certain parts of their meal are gluten-free. Allergies should always be taken seriously, and the lack of concern at this restaurant is completely irresponsible. I would advise avoiding this place if you have any allergies. I now have to deal with my wife's sickness for the next several hours.
I ordered a takeout pizza and it was ready on time with a good crisp crust and delicious flavor. It was made exactly how I ordered it and was well packed, even including parmesan cheese. I will definitely order takeout from this restaurant again.
This Italian restaurant in Marietta is our favorite spot and we have been dining here for over 10 years.
BEWARE if you are gluten free, particularly if you have Celiac Disease. This restaurant does not take gluten allergies seriously. I placed a take out order and specifically said "gluten free chicken saltimbocca" in addition to ordering a gluten free pizza. I also specifically verified that it was gluten free at the end of the order. After taking two bites my wife realized there was a breading and asked if I was sure it was GF. I told her that is how it was ordered and I verified it on the phone. Just to be safe I called Frankies back and, guess what, only the pasta that came with it is GF! The manager excused it by saying he read it back to me as substitute GF pasta. Who orders a GF entree, verifies it is GF if they don't care about the whole meal being GF? At the very least customers should be told that only the pasta is GF. The allergy procedures at this restaurant are completely unacceptable and a joke. Management and staff should not be assuming ANYTHING when it comes to severe allergies. Completely irresponsible! One has to wonder how careful they are about other allergies like tree nutspeanuts. If you have allergies I would stay far away. I will now spend the next hours watching my wife get sick
It looked like an Italian place I had to stop at so I did not have the pizza so I cannot judge on that. Overall It was a pretty decent Italian place.
