My daughter loves their fried rice so we often order it for her to go. It is good, but very oily for my taste. They will make it with less oil when I ask. I decided to try their Massaman curry today. They are not a Thai restaurant but have several Thai dishes on their menu. Massaman curry is pretty simple, meat, potatoes, and typically onions, maybe carrots and cashews. The cashews may just be something most restaurants around me do since I have seen peanuts as well. There aren’t any descriptions on their menu so I thought that it would be prepared like other Thai restaurants prepare it. It was not. First the sauce was thin and oily. I’m not sure if it had any coconut milk in it or not. There were no potatoes or cashews but loads of green beans, broccoli, green peppers (which I do not like and would have excluded) red peppers, BASIL and some onions. Pretty much everything I like about Massaman curry as a dish was absent. (I like the potatoes, the thick coconut creaminess of the curry sauce and the crunchy nuts). The flavor was pretty good, but I couldn’t really taste the Massaman. The basil won out. If you like the curry Massaman, but don’t like the way it is typically served then you would probably like this. The chicken was good as were the veggies, it just wasn’t what I wanted at all, and would have chosen something else if a description had been listed. I just wanted to give others a heads up if they were thinking about ordering it.
Food is always great and the service is also. I've never had a bad experience and have been many times over the years.
Egg Fu Young, not edible. $22 for 3 patties which is expensive. I asked for roast pork Egg Fu Young over the phone when I arrived I found out which they didn't have roast pork but I was okay with that as long as it was pork. The patties were very small. They had Broccoli along with some other vegetables in the gravy. The meat was not inside the patty but mixed up in the gravy along with the Broccoli. I was very surprised because I've gotten other things from them which was quite delicious. I have never seen Egg Fu Young like this ever. I'm originally from NYC and I have gotten used to the Chinese Food not being as good in GA but this was outright disgraceful.
Eating is always excellent taste and so many options. look forward to going to dinner again.
Excellent before the pandemic and after! the hanger steak special was wonderful. saw in the restaurant for the first time in over a year! so happy that the stop to leave the noodles on the table to stale dry and covered with germs. the Oolong tea is great that I'm back as it is the cupboard thing to eat at NYC Chinese!
