Located by the Venice beach, good place to come for leisurely meals. They have a quite good list of wine available by both bottle and glass. Wine price here is reasonable for what they have. They also have good cocktails list. Cocktails are a bit weak for me but refreshing for hot sunny afternoon. I started my late lunch with octopus appetizer. Octopus was fresh as it wasn't chewy and had a good flavor. It was large enough to share by two people. I really liked their bolognese. If you have to pick just one, my recommendation will be this! Pasta was cooked al dente, sauce was just so perfect. Be sure to leave room for dessert. I had tiramisu and it was moist and just right amount of sweetness to it, loved everything about tiramisu. Service was okay, not as attentive as I wished it to be. I sat at their patio seat with nice shade. I watched people walk by, ocean is so close, really nice location when visiting the Venice Beach.
A great Italian restaurant right in the beginning of Venice! My friends and I found this place on yelp and decided to give it a try. It is located right by C&O's on the same side of the street as Cold Stone and a bunch of other restaurants and bars. The only thing that sucks is that there is street parking only, and Venice parking is a bit crazy no matter what time of the day you go. Luckily we found a spot a couple of blocks down, but they do have metered parking right in front of the restaurant if you're lucky! We didn't know what to expect, but the food here was excellent! They gave us bread with olive oil to hold us off. We started off with the spanish octopus and buratta crostina appetizers. I thought they were a bit pricey $19 for the octopus and $14 for the buratta, but it was great quality. The octopus was perfectly cooked and very tender. I would highly recommend if you love seafood! I have to say all of the pastas we got were amazing and so unique. I got the black ink tagliatelle pasta with lobster and clams. For $24, I'd say it's a steal! The flavors were great and came in just the right portion. If you like spicy, this has a great spicy marinara sauce that gives it an extra kick. However, I must say that my friends dishes were so good from the first bite I took. They got the pappardelle with sausage in a cheese sauce, and the red beet tagliollini with chicken marsala ragu. I was honestly in love and wish I got their dishes instead! Both were creamy and rich. Great dinner and i would definitely come back to try their other dishes!
Wow. In a year, they have raised prices by 50 percent. Now, not worth it at all. Pasta at 24 dollars? Joke. Was great place. Now is an avoid it. Size of portion is 1 cup, no more. See GF and Tiff B reviews below. We were all regulars. No more. Prices a joke. Tomahawk steak not even US Prime, 150 dollars. Place has turned into a money pit. Too bad. Used to be good for price. Now is a totally avoid place. Or see Kam S review. We are the real ones. The other positives are fakes posted by owner.
Came here for a work dinner. There were about 20 of us and we were in a room in the back. Something about the acoustics had us all screaming over the piano man up front (they had a speaker in the back amplifying his music). It did take us about an hour to get our separate checks sorted out but I am glad they worked with us on that. Beef pasta this was amazing. Pasta was homemade and chewy. Flavors were good and I didn't need to add any extra cheese to the cream sauce Free bread was amazing. It came warm and the outside was crunchy and the inside was super soft
