Tender Greens - Marina del Rey

I used to be a regular at the DTLA location, which consistently offered great food and service. I've visited this location a few times, and after today's experience, I can confidently say it's quite the opposite here. I ordered a steak plate for takeout, and the restaurant wasn't busy at all. After waiting for 35 minutes and watching someone come in, order twice as much as I did, and receive their food just 7 minutes later, I asked the cashier about the status of my order. During those 30 minutes, the chefs in the back were laughing and fooling around, while the manager's whereabouts were a mystery. The cashier kept ignoring me and giving me strange looks. It turned out my order had been ready for quite some time, but no one called my name, or they simply forgot about it. Eventually, they tried to hand me cold food. I had to ask for fresh steak. When I finally received my to-go plate, the salad looked wilted, so I asked for a fresh one, which annoyed the chef. In short, don't waste your time here. The replacement food ended up being cold too because it wasn't properly sealed, making the whole experience a waste of time and money.

The harvest chicken salad is amazing! I've had it six times in the past two weeks. Their sandwiches and olive oil cakes are also delightful. Overall, I give the food a perfect 5!

Robert provided excellent service, efficiently delivering our meals and attentively responding to our requests. The entire staff was courteous and professional, and the food tasted incredibly fresh. Thank you, Robert and the team! The ambiance is relaxed, as this restaurant is located in a two-story shopping center next to the Equinox gym, making it a popular spot for those dining after a workout. I highly recommend this Tender Greens if you're in search of fresh and delicious salads in a casual setting, where customers are treated with great care!
