Giant City State Park Lodge - Marion

Let me start by saying that the portions at this restaurant were incredibly generous—we were too full to even think about dessert! The staff went above and beyond to help us with our meal selections, which can be challenging when dining with a large group. On top of that, the setting is a historic lodge made from massive timber and locally quarried stone. It was truly a fantastic experience!

Sunday chicken is always the best! We only get it once a year as a tradition for our friend group, and I think we're on our 17th year now.

This lovely lodge is the perfect spot for fried chicken in Southern Illinois. Service: 5 stars Location: 5 stars Highlights: Family-friendly, Excellent value.
