If you love visiting gardens this is the creme de la creme. A garden for all seasons. It is a series of garden rooms. The tearoom is lovely too. Good simple food at reasonable prices.
Really good, my type of garden one of the best. Nice food in restaurant. Lovely plants for sale. It's a good idea to book in advance at busy times.
You have to pre book your visit and the gardens are only open 3 days a week. The entrance times are staggered and we chose the earliest one at 11.00 am. On arrival we were quite surprised to find the car park really busy, although some cars probably belonged to staff and volunteers. There was a queue to get in but it didn't take too long to be admitted. The gardens are beautiful but, due to the narrow paths between flower beds, it was impossible to social distance. By the time the 12.00 noon people arrived, it was far too busy to be enjoyable or safe. We went for lunch about 12.20 pm and had to queue for 45 minutes to get served. The lunch was tasty, very fresh and competitively priced so no complaints about the quality. Overall it would have been a fantastic day out if the number of people attending was reduced.
Wow! Fantastic garden packed with great design and planting ideas. Good tea room. Don't miss it.
