Had a vasilopita from here on New year's, was like eating a boxed cake mix

A true gem in Markham! We ordered the hummus, tzatziki, spanakopita, a selection of desserts, and a couple of frappes. Everything was incredibly delicious and felt very authentic. The woman who served us was so kind; she even gave each of my kids a cookie, which was also delightful! We will definitely be returning often.

I absolutely love the imported foods! The sea salt is reasonably priced, and the selection of olive oils features excellent brands that I always pick up during my visits. Fresh desserts, cheese, and spanakopita frequently find their way into my shopping basket as well! The staff is really friendly, and I’ve noticed it’s not usually crowded when I go. Plus, there’s convenient parking right out front.

I used to live in Greek Town, but this place truly has it all. The service is both efficient and friendly. The prices for feta cheese, olive oil, baklava, spanakopita, tzatziki, and a selection of spices are very reasonable compared to Whole Foods and Garden Basket. This place is a hidden gem in Markham.

I tried a couple of galaktoboureko: one traditional style and another with a layer of whipped cream on top. The custard was a bit firmer than what I expected, and surprisingly, it wasn’t overly sweet. The pastry was soaked in syrup, which provided just the right amount of sweetness while still giving you that satisfying doughy bite. I also loved the layout of the store, which is like a mini grocery store combined with a deli. They have a good selection of cheeses, frozen goods, non-perishables, and dry items. The variety of fried goods was impressive too, ranging from cookies to crackers, not to mention the selection of halva that’s perfect for those looking for it. The staff member who assisted me was incredibly friendly and took the time to explain what galaktoboureko is. They didn’t rush me at all and even encouraged me to explore the shop.
