When I wanted to complain, I was advised that I didn't say we couldn't do anything. The food was threatened in oil and the chicken was over boiled. Please avoid this place. The owner/manager I spoke with was so rude
We have often visited good food and good service. Today we went... not for about 1 year. We're not gonna go back... service poor and enjoy the food I'm so happy... not here. Our meals were cooked, had an undesirable taste. When the server... when we were full, I said the opposite and asked for a decision. Why? So if I have, I could give a sample to the Health Unit. Seriously, it was so bad. She said no, it was okay. But she wouldn't take a taste... what does that say? So disappointed. She told us we'd come by for her new breakfast menu....um No.
This unassuming restaurant has been in business for almost fifty years. Despite a change in ownership a few months ago, our family decided to give it a try. While it is not the same family-owned establishment as before, the cozy decor and welcoming atmosphere make you feel like you are in a small town where you can relax and enjoy your meal. The furnishings are a bit dated but well-maintained, including the clean washrooms. The cook, Ken, who may also be the owner, often comes out to greet customers and recommend dishes to try. The restaurant takes pride in using fresh ingredients and offering MSG-free dishes. Perhaps due to low overhead costs and no need for renovations, the prices are very reasonable. The shift from serving chop suey to more Hong Kong-style Cantonese cuisine reflects the changing demographics in the area. Despite this change, the food has consistently been good during my visits for lunch and dinner. The Russian soup served with lunch is exceptional and shows the effort and care put into the dishes. The service is always friendly, making you feel like you are among old friends. If you're looking for a laid-back dining experience with good food at great prices, this is the place to go. The addition of breakfast to the menu shows their willingness to adapt and cater to customer demands. Overall, the cozy ambiance and warm hospitality make this family-run restaurant a rare find, preserving tradition and making diners feel at home.
This is now a family-run restaurant with daily Chinese cuisine from 07:30 to 11:00, breakfast, lunch, brunch, tea, dinner. The services are exceptionally offered by the family, food is above average. You will not see too many ppl sitting in which I love... when it gets calm to chat with my family and friends, but they are very busy taking out. Free daily Tao. Must try if you are in Chinese food
We frequently order from Red Rose Garden when craving traditional North Americanized Chinese cuisine. The restaurant consistently delivers high quality and flavorful dishes. We also enjoy dining in occasionally, despite the dated decor which adds to the charm. The service provided is excellent.
