For a buffet dinner, it absolutely. Asked the spot. The location is not the greatest and the decor could use some updating, but the food makes up for the lack of luxury. The traditional Indian style food had the right mix of spicy and sweetness...that allowed for all guests to savour each bite. Definitely it is a place where the saying says don't judge a book by its cover applies. Once you taste the food, it will completely satisfy your need for Indian food. Unfortunately, the buffet choices are limited, but sill well worth the visit.
We eat at Indian places a lot and the first thing I look for is homemade garlic naan. This place looks tired and run down but the food we ordered was fabulous. Service was spotty with 2 gals running the whole place but the chef...knows what he is doing. I had garlic naan, butter chicken and rice and my wife had the basa, a Mekong style catfish that she raved about and I know my wife is picky.
I haven't ordered take out and haven't sat down for dinner here, so my review is based on the lunch buffet only. For some reason, every time I come here it isn't busy, although it is usually on a weekday at lunch so maybe that's...why. The food is absolutely amazing and I love Indian Food. I would say if you like Spicy Indian food, it might not be your favourite The Host in Richmond Hill is spicier but it is very tasty. Their Naan is the best I have had and they bring it fresh to your table, it's not at the buffet where it could potentially get cold. Butter Chicken if my absolute favourite here and the Paneer is delicious as well. Highly recommend and the price is great for a lunch buffet!
I think it's fair to say that this facility is worth a visit for a meal or two. Excellent menu variety, from which I still try. recently enjoyed their ala carte chicken byrani, served with a creamy gurken sauce. it was excellent. in the rule, I. go to enjoy their buffet table during the midday period. it's very good and I recommend you try it out too. above, when off, I always had fresh, hot tasty naan. it is part of the buffet lunch, one per person and it is a lot. I prefer the restaurant bombay grill near babu or la jawab, by far. plan to try their house style byrani court next chance I can go. gfb
