The Captain's Boil - Markham

Fantastic place for SEAFOOD lovers.Great seafood placeand unique dining experience.You choose your seafood, the sauce, spicy level and they bring you un a bag.Eating with gloves and bib is fun. lobster poutine was so good and we love the shrimp and lobster in captains boil sauce were mouth watering.must try!

Went there to eat yesterday and it was absolutely terrible. The restaurant was so cold, we asked the waiter to turn up the heat a bit and he didn’t. There was only 1 waiter serving the whole restaurant so service was really slow. We ordered the Cajun Fries, they were okay but cold it wasn’t even hot. We ordered the Cajun Shrimp Mild, it was lacking in portion size and flavour, there wasn’t enough seasoning to the shrimp and there was only like 6-8 pieces of shrimp we got. We ordered the seafood fried rice and it was completely garbage…their was no taste nothing whatsoever, felt like I was eating plain rice with no taste; it lacked of seafood we only got 3-4 pieces of tiny little shrimp which was upsetting. They gave us plastic cutlery to eat with and plastic cups to drink with as well. The fact that we couldn’t even eat the seafood fried rice was really upsetting as it needed way more flavour. Other locations are better than this one, especially with portion, flavour, cutlery and service wise.

Whatever you do don’t eat here I got a seafood boil with headless shrimp and muscles and woke up with food poisoning the day after. The food was absolutely terrible, the service was even worse and ontop of that I complained about my food to the manager and he told me that I was the one in the wrong and that there is nothing wrong with his food saying that it was just a personal problem with myself. Overall if I could rate this place 0 out of 5 I would. Food was disgusting, I don’t wish the sickness I went through after eating it on my worst enemy stay away from this place

My time at this place was a major letdown, and honestly, if I could, I'd give it zero stars. So, I ordered this combo of mussels and shrimp, but the shrimp was practically raw, and the mussels were a mess – I bit into something hard, like a rock or sand, and I had almost chipped my tooth.Then there were these lobster sliders, or at least that's what they called them. I found what seemed like a piece of shell or plastic in there. Told the server, they took the plate away, only to bring it back with the manager insisting we were wrong. Seriously? There was literally something in my food, and they did nothing about it, instead insisting I was wrong and there was no such thing.To make matters worse, the day after dining at this place, I got seriously sick. I spent the entire day throwing up; food poisoning. It's clear there were serious issues with the food hygiene, and it's beyond disappointing that a restaurant would serve something that makes people sick.To top it off, the manager was staring at me the whole entire time, making me feel super awkward and uncomfortable. I mean, eyes down customers like that? This whole experience was a complete disaster – from the questionable food to the unprofessional management. I wouldn't wish this on anyone, I strongly advise against eating here.Never going back – bad food, worse service, and a manager who needs a lesson in manners and professionalism. Save yourself the trouble and find another spot to eat.

It is an intriguing concept that makes eating hand based foods much more fesiable and enjoyable. Paired with excellent flavours and tasteful themed decor. It's an absolute recommendation from me.I would have given it a 5/5 stars if they had crawfish...
