Excellent food, split seafood platter. Friendly service. Atmosphere outdated.

Having recently moved to this area. We are still in the process of learning places to see and places to go that interest us. Stephen Anthony's is beginning to be one of our top new restaurants to dine at. Today's visit was during lunch time. I chose the baked haddock with rice pilaf and vegetable medley While my husband chose the fried fish and chips lunch with French fries and coleslaw. My baked haddock was excellent being tasty, flaky and tender. My husband informed me the vegetable medley was flavorful as well. As I had no room to eat it. My husband enjoyed his fish and chips and said we will be back again so he can explore the other meals Stephen's offers. This was our second visit to this establishment this month. As we really enjoyed ourselves with friends the first time we came here. Our server Kate was very helpful in answering any questions my wife and I had about the various meals. Although we went there around 3:30. We were waited on quickly as the crowd was minimal. Kate made the dessert offerings a difficult decision to choose. However, when we still could not decide ourselves. We asked her what she would recommend? She said we would do fine with the strawberry shortcake. And her choice was right on target. Thank you for making our luncheon visit a pleasant one. Will be coming back more often seeing Stephen Anthonys is so close. This restaurant sits on the edge of a pond which has a enjoyable view of the local waterfowl on it. It also has an outdoor patio with limited seating. Linda C.

June 22,2022 5:45 pm Having recently moved to this area and making new friends in our senior living facility. My wife and I were invited to dinner at the Stephan Anthony 's restaurant in Marlboro. Having heard positive comments from other residents in our facility about this restaurant. We gladly accepted the invitation. Upon our reservation arrival time. Our party of eight was promptly seated in their roomy/ comfortable dining area. Our waitress was cheerful and pleasant. And understood that we all would need sufficient time to look over the menu and select among their offerings. However, the difficult decision we each faced. Was making the final choice of what meal we really wanted. Pouring over each descriptive meal in itself was a mental challenge. Every meal was more appealing than the previous one. My wife and I had several choices that we were focused on. But there could only be one meal that could be the winning dinner for this dinner. My choice was the Sausage Alexandra . Chicken tenderloins with Anthony 's House made Italian sausage, sautéed roasted peppers, and mushrooms, deglazed with Pinot Grigio and garlic. Tossed with bow tie pasta. A large house garden salad was also selected. My wife 's selection was the Roast Turkey dinner. Hand roasted and carved turkey breast, atop homemade sausage stuffing. Served with pan gravy, mashed potatoes and fresh vegetable medley. Servings were hearty. Food presentation was very nice. Food quality along with taste was very good. Price was very reasonable for what you received. Everyone in our party were very satisfied with their meal choices. And the service of the wait staff. If you are in or travelling in the area. Please consider visiting this establishment for a delightful and filling meal. My wife and I look forward to trying many more (if not all) of your menu choices. Updating my review from 2 years ago (when I gave it 5 stars). Went there just recently with a group of women that I go out to lunch with fairly regularly and have been here with them a few times. One of us ordered a scallop roll. They brought a scallop plate (twice as much money, but also twice as many scallops). When this was pointed out they asked if she wanted to keep what they brought her or would she prefer the scallop roll. Since it was half the price she opted for the scallop roll. But IMO it was a BIG mistake on their part. They should have let her keep the dinner plate and charged her for the roll knowing the kitchen staff would just throw out the other half of the scallops. Then, the real kicker....they ended up charging her for the scallop dinner anyway, even though she consumed the scallop roll. They have slipped big time not sure when I'll be going back.

The breakfast options are complete. Everything you can hope and dream for a delicious breakfast. Recently they seem better staffed which means better service. This place is popular among the locals because it's reliably good. The atmosphere is quiet which is nice to relax and enjoy good food and pleasant conversation.
