They give complimentary tortilla chips and salsa even before they give the menu which are fresh and tasty, a big help if you are hungry. The ambience is very typical for a Mexican restaurant and not too crowded too. The food was delicious and on par with other top rated Mexican restaurants. Since I was doubtful about the food being Halal I opted for see food and I was not disappointed. The spice level was not too high and the quantity was more than sufficient for the main course.
This was our first time at this Mexican restaurant. The decor of this restaurant reminded me of another Mexican restaurant we have been to in Page, Arizona. They welcomed us with warm tortilla chips and freshly made salsa and they both were very tasty. We ordered Mojarra Frita which is fried whole tilapia and Carne Asada which is grilled marinated steak. Both were served with rice, refried beans, sour cream, corn tortilla guacamole. Mojarra Frita was a huge portion for one and it was perfectly fried and crispy. The steak was also very tender and delicious. The restaurant is very clean and the service was good. I am pretty sure that they run full-house for dinner and in the weekends. Plenty of paking on either side of the street. I will definitely recommend this place for authentic Mexican food.
Hands down the best!!! Most authentic Mexican food around, don’t get me started on the drinks. They have an endless selection of margaritas!!! The staff is SUPERB, friendly, welcoming, FUN. By far this is our favorite place to go. Thank you to Rosa, Luis, Cruz, Ana, Murillo, Samantha, Stephanie and the rest of the staff for ALWAYS delivering an EXCEPTIONAL customer experience. Support this local spot, they are amazing!!! #ILOVEZARAPE!!!
Hadn't been there in a long time, not because I didn't want to, but because circumstances of all kinds. Place was nicely remodeled and is light and airy now. Service was really good, and food came quickly. Food has a nice fresh vibe, more filling than you think. The tacos may look small, but there are 3, and they are solid and tasty. They let me have one of each kind on their taco plate, which is great if you like to mix and match. The beef is not ground, it is probably stewed which was good texture, soft not stringy. Liked the flavor of the rice and beans as well. I remembered the Papusa being good, and I ordered it off their small plate list, and it came as a single papusa with a light slaw on the side. Think of it as a hearty tapas serving size at a nice price, so if you wanted to eat a bit here and there during a game at the bar, the small plate menu section is a great place to taste your way through and have fun. If I were being picky . . . My wife thought the rice could have been cooked a little softer for her taste. I suppose the beans could have had a bit more texture. The side slaw for the Papusa was good, but lacked a distinctive flair. The menu said they had modelo Negro on tap, but only the especial was on tap, but they had it in the bottle, so I had that.
Great food and friendly service Drinks were awesome definitely will be returning from Carne Asada to the fried whole fish this was great. Fish was not dried out from being over cooked too.
