They made the extra donuts extremely fast and I was out. When we arrived at home, I realized they had given me the wrong order. The name was just like my wife, so it was an honest mistake. And partly my part to not check the name. That was my first time. The order we received had less donuts than what My wife ordered. We call them and they were aware that they had given me the wrong order. I told them I wanted to come back to pick up the right order as we serve them family and friends. When I came back to the store, they gave me the right order that was freshly restored. Not that I was looking for something, but they didn't even offer me to keep the wrong order or favor the original order. I think that would be a good business practice. My only suggestion would be if you order something online for pickup, only confirm that you leave with the right order.
The donuts are delicious and they never got my order wrong. I had some strange experiences. First, they are obviously short employees, but both times this happened to me there were more workers than customers in the building. I ordered and paid for donuts online. When I came to the store, they were ready, but instead of handing them over from behind the counter, I wait on the online order pick-up area for a longer time, while the staff went from pointed to not eye contact. It was so strange that I thought it was just a bad interaction, but next time it happened again. I didn't go back in months as a result, but recently my husband said he wanted donuts, ordered and paid online. I had not really shared my experience with him, simply stopped going, but he came home from picking up donuts and told me he would 't go back then described to avoid the exact same experience with the staff acutely waiting for him (what would give him the box of finished donuts). He even called someone after he was waited and ignored and asked them if they could just give him the box right next to them and they said in a minute and went to the back. When I actually interacted with the staff, they were polite, the donuts are big and my orders are correct. But they seem to play a strange game of chicken among themselves, how long they 'll awkwardly go ignoring customers until one of them finally makes eye contact. Whatever the shift goes faster, I assume.
Great staff. Very friendly and always pleasant to treat. Donuts are worth every penny. You will wonder what you ate in other donut shops. Great coffee too!
I love dessert. Donuts are usually not my go to, but I was excited to try Duck Donuts. I liked the fact they are made fresh and you can pick your toppings. They smell delicious when your handed that box of hot freshly made donuts. Having gotten them in the late afternoon and not eating them until later was probably a mistake. The donut itself is a good basic donut. I had ordered some blueberry and they almost tasted like a blueberry cake donut I love. However, the ones I ordered covered in chocolate with toppings didn't make the grade. First, I do prefer chocolate on a chocolate donut. That aside, the chocolate toppings literally broke and crumbled from the top. A major disappointment for their pricey donuts. If I ever crave a donut again I'll stick to Hornbergers where I know they're amazing.
Custom Donuts. Very fresh. They make right in front of you. To my taste, they are better than Dunkin Donuts.
