Civitel Olympic - Marousi

It’s the worst experience I have ever had in a hotel since the quality of sleep was very poor. There was a central heating that couldn’t be turned off, making the rooms unbearably hot and stuffy. There was no air conditioning option to cool down the room. The hotel overlooks Kifisias avenue, which is a very busy and noisy avenue so opening the windows was also not a possibility. The management of the hotel have no idea what the optimal sleeping conditions are, otherwise there would be more options available to customers. The staff of the hotel was friendly but could not provide any solution to my request of cooling down the room.

I was there for an exhibition so it's unfair to rate

Revamped hotel , amenities are bit worn out. Staff polite and helpful. Very good breakfast On winter time rooms are very warm, cooling by opening window is not an option( very noisy road near) Overall good value for money.

While the room is very specious and front desk was friendly, the quality of the room service is not. Upon arrival the room was very warm, and there was no option to turn the AC on. We called the front desk to assists us with the issue and we were told to open the window to let the breeze come in. The problem with this is, is that the hotel is next to a very busy highway and the noise from the traffic was unbearable. After traveling for 18 hours to to arrive in Greece, we were left sleep deprived and still tired due to not been able to sleep due the high noise. In our all travels, not even at the cheapest motel we had this type of problem.The fact that a hotel does not have an individual running AC for the room, a coffee machine or any other basic amenities which we paid 123 euros for, is completely unacceptable and scamming.

It's not the most glamorous setting, that's for sure, but the place is spotless, the rooms large and very comfortable and the staff nice and friendly. It may lack character, but it does what is supposed to do very well, to provide a good rest after a day out.
