The head chef came and introduced himself, sharing about how they blend Berber, Arab, and other cultures in both the design and cuisine of the restaurant. I highly recommend trying the 4-hour boiled lamb dish!
The ambiance was very nice and the food was good at a reasonable price. We had three dishes and at the end we were full and had to save room for dessert. My father had the chicken breast, while we had the chicken pastilla and lamb veggie couscous. The dishes we received were some of the best we had in Morocco. The pastilla was made with actual puff pastry and filled nicely with shredded chicken. The only downside was that the guitarist was very talented but a little too loud, making it difficult to have a conversation at times. Overall, it was a beautiful experience!
A very comfortable sophisticated restaurant serving high quality food in the Medina.Typical (from my experience) 19th century Morroccan interior with some tasteful modern additions. I 've been 'collecting ' restaurants for decades in 40+ countries 3 continents this is one of the best and it 's European bar meal cost. But remember that even shop alcohol in Morocco costs 3x the price in Europe. The house wine is very good though. Notes: 1. It 's cash only 2. You 'll have to walk ~100metres cos it 's a car/taxi free zone. 3. The location isn 't obvious if you get lost, 10 Dirham to a youngster will get you there. The kids are friendly, helpful fun not European urban louts! You might even get an uninsured ride on a scooter for more cash!
Haven't even had our main course yet and we are swooning over the food and ambiance. We just landed in Marrakech this morning and are not so hungry so we are sharing a starter and a main course and maybe dessert. Lamb tagine just hit the table. Really lovely presentation and tender lamb with prunes, apricots plenty of walnuts and olives sitting atop tender mashed potato. Taste was good but didn't live up to the spectacular presentation. Still tasty but not as intriguing as the starter b The 6 Moroccan salad starter was gorgeous. Each salad had a unique taste including 3 varieties of eggplant salad, olive tapenade, tomato and honey and cumin roasted matchstick julienne veggies. The kitchen obviously has skills
Great place! Service was excellent, our waiter spoke English and was very friendly. Food wise, I've had a lovely duck chorba, a very tasty chicken medallion and a creme brulee. Highly recommend it. The bar also has alcohol, a bit overpriced, and can't say anything about it as I haven't tried it.
