The Vermicelli salad was flavourful however the noodles had been well overcooked and were effectively mush. The take away menu has different prices. I would have been cheaper to pay the $5 takeaway delivery fee than pay all the extra on the menu inside. Also could not find the waitress for about 15 minutes to try and get drinks. Ended up having to yell out into the kitchen area until someone came. I won't be going back.
After reading the reviews, we tried the crispy beef in plum sauce. It was terrible and was not plum, it was sweet and sour and very overpowering. We always love green tea and it was disgusting and like dried grass. The spring rolls were tiny and lovely but really, 5 in a serve? Why not 6??? Would have been nice to be served with crispy lettuce leaves; at least the dipping sauce was good. Won't be back.
This was our third time at this restaurant. It's surprisingly good. Whilst the décor could be updated the food is great. Highlights from our meal this time were the green chicken curry, the crispy beef in plum sauce and the deep fried ice cream.
We came here for dinner on a weeknight. Many of the dishes were outstanding. The crispy beef was the equal of Hingston, our gold standard. Other dishes to impress were the Kang Kung, Lemongrass Chicken and the triangular shaped Fried Ice Cream.
It was a last minute decision to head to this restaurant on Saturday night as I certainly did not want to cook and neither did my husband - and as always so glad that we did. We ended up with five adults and two kids. The dine in plate size is good. The food is cooked fresh. My favourite is the crispy plum beef - yum. The wait staff are super friendly and helpful. I love coming to this restaurant and will again. Thanks!
