I know it was from the restaurant because the only other things I had been eating were toast and plain pasta. I have never been so sick in my life!!!! Avoid this place if you value your health!! You could not pay me to eat from there again.
This place is absolutely terrible. The curries and raita were way too sweet, and lacking in fresh ingredients in the curry sauces. Ordered medium level spicy, which was completely bland. For what it was, it was way over price. Would not order here again.
The view from outside says it all. No atmosphere plus few diners equals find somewhere else to eat. A jar of Patak's simmer sauce and some steamed rice would taste better and represent better value for money. Service leaves a lot to be desired as well.
This place was recommended by a gourmet friend and I didnt go there cos it looked a bit naive but hey the food here is terrific!! Rich Indian spices, very sweet service and quiet- you can have a conversation here. Try it and see - I'll go back there for sure
After reading the reviews on this website I decided to take my daughter to this restaurant to celebrate her birthday; both of us looking forward to a delicious dinner. What a disaster - this is the worst Indian Restaurant I have ever experienced. DISGUSTING. The prices were outrageous and the service terrible and ambience is nil. Go with the gut feel one gets when looking at this restaurant from the outside as it is as bad as the image one sees.Initially, we had to wait almost 15 minutes for someone to take our order only two other tables had diners one of 2 and one of 3 guests. We almost got up and left - I really regret we didn't. All the other diners received a basket of free pappadums but we received none...not even the drinks we ordered. Full of apologies the waitress finally brought our food - still no drink or pappadums. The waitress returned with the Naan and asked how the food was. I complained, saying that the meat was full of gristle. The waitress said she would tell chef. Things got worse. The Cheese Garlic Naan was half cooked and the cheese tasted sour and the Mango Lassi [which arrived almost half an hour into the evening] also tasted odd. Add to that the Butter Chicken had too much tomato and was not buttery, the chicken was chewy [gristle aside] and the Lamb in the Korma was chewy, dry and full of fat; the only positive was the rice - which, although we ordered a small we were served and charged a large. After eyeing our table of dirty dishes for 15 minutes - the waitress didn't seem inclined to remove, even after she asked us if we wanted something else - I had to get up and ask for the bill. Then the interminable amount of time and energy trying to pay on credit card only for the waitress discovering after calling the boss that they don't accept Amex. The waitress said the meal wasn't to your liking was it? I responded no, it was disgusting and the worst service and food I have ever experienced in an Indian restaurant and I just wanted to get out of the restaurant. The staff were obviously not inclined to try and rectify the situation and had they tried to make some attempt to make good of a bad situation I wouldn't be posting this review nor making sure I tell everyone I know to avoid this restaurant like the plague. The chef here needs a cooking lesson from Namaste Jindabyne or Surjit's Annandale.
