The Henson - Marrickville

It’s a gem along Illawarra Rd in Marrickville. Awesome selection of beer, wine and a little grocery of carefully selected cheeses including nibbles and sauces from around the world. The bottle shop has a top notch wine selection ready for takeaway. Food on offer is a mix of modern Australian and Asian fusion in a relaxed and modern space including a courtyard. The house **** mary is a good starter drink to set the mood. I really like their Nasi Goreng, an Indonesian fried rice, very flavoursome.

This is seriously a little gem in the innerwest. Bridget and all the staff are wonderful. Nothing like going to one of your locals for s great feeed not expensive and happy faces behind the bar . Great food and good choice of beers. Craft beers including young Henry's pale ale, and a gorgeous fruity Balter XPA. Relaxed vibe, lots of families with kids having a good time here too. Friendly staff

Great outdoor area, especially if you love dogs! The chicken wings were the best wings I’ve ever had!! I also ordered the Mac and cheese which was great also. Definitely coming back again for those wings!

Great food, great atmosphere and great location. Family friendly, with kids play pen. Also serves delicious cocktails. A little bit of wait time for food, but was worth the wait.
