Very nice place, the stakes are great!! The service is very good, the prices are good to the quality of the food. This is a very good place to eat with quality.
We visited Chukkas for Sunday lunch when there were races going on. Whilst the food is good, when you compare it to other restaurants in terms of decor, ambience, presentation of food etc., Chukkas falls a bit short. Overall the selection of meats is very good and the meat brought to the table is well cooked, but a bit more effort on other aspects could go a long way.
We were a table of about 28 people, went there and had a set menu. The atmosphere and decor has not changed since the restaurant opened, but that gives the place a rustic look (at best). The food was ok, albeit mediocre. I had a ribeye to be cooked medium rare, which was a huge mistake as it turned up cold, was not sealed well, tasted bland and overall just looked sad. My expectations weren’t high for the starter and dessert (and I was right to think so) but for a steakhouse I expected the meat-based main course to be much better.
Once again, a meat experience! The ribeye and the fillet were cooked to perfection, the wine a perfect match and helpful knowledgeable service. A place you can recommend to your best friends!
