Found this pleasant quayside Restaurant for lunch, whilst on a day visit to Marseilles. Nice reasonably priced menu, with the Seafood platter we noticed many fellow diners partaking, looking very appealing, however we were not that hungry. We enjoyed an excellent SAlade Fraicheur(Seafood Salad), which with a couple of drinks cost 24 Euros. Service nothing special, but we enjoyed sitting by the bustling Port peoplewatching on a lovely warm sunny day.
. Absolute shocking customer service from start to finish, with ignorant staff. The restaurant has kerb appeal and to this we decided to call in for a drink, we would have preferred to sit outside however, with the rain pouring down there was no seating as the rain was covering most tables. We entered an empty restaurant lacking atmosphere, and asked if we could have a table for a drink only, one waitress looked at us or should I say through us, and then muttered something to what I take was her senior, we was shocked when she pointed outside! It was clear from their actions we appeared to be putting them out and an inconvenience! We were finally sat at a table inside and the following order qas taken, 1 x quarter carafe wine, 1 x glass of prosecco, also do you do garlic bread to share, we got a confused look from the waitress and something muttered that sounded like yes. Five minutes later two glasses and the wine turned up, we waited several further Five minutes and asked where the prosecco was? It was never going to arrive has the Waitress didn 't order it! With drink now ordered a further five minutes went by and another Waiter asked us if we 're ready to order, I said we only wanted a drink and had ordered a portion of garlic bread to share, he replied we don 't do that !!!. As you can imagine, we were speechless. This was our first and last visit to this less than friendly restaurant, and I would advise spending your money elsewhere unless they crack a smile when ask for a table.
Nice seafood in a restaurant looked at the heart of the Vieux port. Really nice staff with good service. We had mussels and lobster, both were very nice.
Stopped at Chez Roger for a glass of wine and could not notice the fantastic Seafood plats. As we were on a cruise we just had the fantastic Oysters. Large and juicy. Shame we could not stay longer and had the Fruits de Mare. Thoroughly...More
