It's really an olive oil shop but it has a small menu and a few tables. We had an olive oil sampler to start which was delicious and all explained as to the differences in the oils.We then had charcuterie and cheese which was fresh and tasty and fantastic with the olive oil. A carafe of Provençal white on one of the outside tables was really perfect. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. It's not obvious from the outside but really worth trying.Worth buying some olive oil too.
So as our title says...we didnt eat here so can only review our experience when we found this little place by luck and chance. Very friendly lady called 'Marie' helped us and chatted with Us ( perfect english).... She gave us an inpromptu oil tasting...which resulted in us buying some oil, some stunning oil and ginger conserve and some gorgeous aubergine tapenade. If the taste of what we bought is anything to go by.... The restaurant will be well worth it!!Looks great inside....clearly a lot of thought and time have gone into designing this characterful place...We were catching a flight so couldnt eat here but will definately be back!
This is my first trip adviser review and we've eaten at probably a dozen good restaurants over the last week. We just got done eating at this restaurant and all four of us were absolutely thrilled. We were planning on eating here but wandered in to the owner and whom I would call employee of the year whose name is Marie. She was fantastic spoke great English and we ended up following all her food recommendations we got three different plates all authentic food that were absolutely delicious. And to top it off the dessert was a small bowl of strawberries topped with a citrus olive oil oil that was superb. Lastly the setting is marvelous in that they sell different types of olive oil and the restaurant is built in the old bakery. The cost was around 60 bucks for us though we didn't get any drinks. This place is a can't miss. For the food, experience, and personnel there... we loved it.
This charming new establishment was two doors down from our apartment building, and I had been intrigued by their menu each time we walked by. One day we decided to take lunch there, and what a great idea it was. The place (they specialise in olive oils, hence the name) serves lunch to about 15 places only. On the day we were there it was busy with locals, who must have known about their off the beaten track location. I had the soupe l'entilles (lentil soup), followed by the blanquette de veau (veal white stew) and the crumbe pomp (crumbed apple), all absolutely delicious. The delightful women who ran the place were keen to explain and share their love of olive oils, offering tastings of several between courses. They make a point of only serving seasonal food, and local wines. Naturally, olive oil can be purchased, as well as some of the condiments that form part of some courses.This institution is what France is all about. They have only been running for 6 months, so I wish them luck, as starting a new business is always tricky. However, with their enthusiams and devotion to quality I don't think they'll need luck!
