So we decided to eat there for dinner. Very warm welcome from the host. It can be hard to choose a restaurant among the hundreds along the streets in the old port but what was great about La Mamma was that despite being amongst the other restaurants, it felt calm and sophisticated and quiet. Quick service and delicious food.
I assume this restaurant has moved and is now at 38 rue Saint-Sarens. We realised when we sat down that we had probably made a mistake, the service wasn't great, and the menu very limited. We tried to order the special cocktail highlighted on the daily menu, but they said they couldn't do it. The lamb chops and chips were ok, but bland and poor value at e19. The pizza was way over priced at e15. If you like paella then maybe this place was worthwhile.
Very nice pizza... somebody came over to the pub nearby to make us taste their pizza and that guy was lovely... we made it to the restaurant la mamma to order pizzas which were great... the guy came over to the pub to deliver the pizzas and came back later to clear off the table... un expected and nice surprise... y'all need to try this...
Excellent restaurant with quality products! nothing to have with the nearby catch-to-tourist restaurant! The wolf was excellent, the chocolate melt is delicious also the paella do 3 times a week by the person responsible is delicious! Moreover the name of the restaurant carries so well its grave name to the so welcoming and charming person! we simply feel like being home! thank you again for your human warmth to the whole team!!!
