Contribuisci feedbackI went to this very classical Marseille restaurant with some friends for dinner during the week. I reserved the same morning and find the last available table. The restaurant menu is exclusive on fish, daily fresh and fished locally. We decided to take the most classical experience, by trying the Bouillabaisse. Food was excellent and the service was nice and friendly. Price is a bit high, but it is definitely worth the experience.
Well, who goes to Michel for anything but a bouillabaisse. That would be a nonsense and a mistake (you could also get a fresh fish grilled for you, but you would miss so much! . Yes it's expensive. But where else will the owner select the fishes for your table in front of you, will have them cooked and served just for you. And when served, they know how to make sure the number of fishbones are reduced to a minimum. We give ourselves the treat once a year. It's worth the trip... and it's fun to interact with the owner who acts so nonchalant, but so reliable and efficient!
We enjoyed dinner at this restaurant. The owner and staff were hospitable and made us feel at home. The dining area was clean and nicely decorated. Tables were well spaced. They have a nice wine list at reasonable prices. Bouillabaisse was rich and flavorful. The fish were fresh, sweet and perfectly cooked. Service was excellent. Well worth a visit while in Marseille.
Great food. Great ambiance. Not a good selection of wine by the glass, though. A wonderful bouillabaisse, of course! I would go there again.
