In my view, the best Asian in Marseille and the region. A laotian cuisine rich in flavor, spicy and refreshing. It's all homemade. Just thinking about it, I have water in my mouth so everything is greedy. Delicious service with the little personal and ironic touch of the gentleman who holds the room but also seems to help in the kitchen. For lovers of real Asian cuisine.
Went here last night as it was one of the few places open on a Monday in Marseille. I called beforehand to ask if there were any vegetarian dishes on the menu, I was told ‘tofu’ with no elaboration. Arrived at the restaurant and ordered the tofu dish, there was only one other veggie dish. The waiter/owner was incredibly rude and when I asked if it was definitely vegetarian (ie no fish sauce) he said ‘yes, why?’ And I said ‘because we are vegetarian’ and he shrugged and said ‘well you’re not the only ones’??? Food came and there were only frozen vegetables, no tofu to be seen. I asked about the tofu and he said it was mixed into the sauce? It really wasn’t. Bad food and not a very nice place. The menu was really sticky and the whole experience just wasn’t good.
I had lemon chicken in sesame seeds with sticky rice. The house wine was excellent and the gentleman who served us the owner) was very pleasant
Had a quick dinner today, plenty of choice for both adults and kids, nothing spectacular to write about in terms if food but central location and good atmosphere.
