Basil's Seafood Restaurant - Marsfield

I have eaten at Basils a few times now. You know when the food is good when your youngest child keeps asking to go back. My wife kept laughing saying he must have made the best chips in sydney to get our 9 year old so engaged. Far from it. So we went back and this time I watched carefully what everyone ordered. Tim the owner came over and as usual always has a great demeanour acknowledges each child politely and offers us a series of mouth watering specials. He takes his time explaining it all in detail. He always gives us a small taster from the kitchen and that denotes the wonderful food to come. My wife orders what I think is the best pork cutlet ever cooked, a seafood linguini my oldest child inhaled at first glance, a sirloin cooked to mouth watering melt in your mouth flavour for our middle child and snapper fillets for my daughter with avocado and of course her side of chips! I had the cod which I must say slide down the back of my palate with a tang of the caper sauce it was cooked in.To finish it off we had Basils(Tim's) special pancakes. Strongly recommended. In fact a must!It's a great place to eat- a little out of the way but you will NEVER be let down. Tim won't allow it. It's Macquarie Parks/Marsfield's best kept secret. Get there and I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

Food was excellent, although portions are quite small. The waiter was very attentive and professional.

A cost restaurant with great staff. Quite a few staffs here has been working there for more than 10 years, so if you're a regular you'll feel right at home. Very friendly and knows how to put a smile on your face. Good food not to mention, even the calamari look posh there. With parking available outside making it easy to visit.

We have been looking at going to this place for months but each time we change our mind given the disparate views from other diners. Well we finally went tonight and loved it. The food is excellent. Tasty, healthy and substantial in portion size. The service was great -5 staff - on the floor. Also they had a delicious kids menu for our girls . Yes it's a bit pricey but when you think about the staff the lovely singer and no doubt the chefs in the back - then it's clear they can't be cheap! The produce is fresh and high calibre? The wine selection also great. The female waitress was the best we thought. We will be back.... Μπραβω !!

Had a farewell dinner for a relative who was moving and not only on entry but during the greetings the service the dinner the options were amazing and could not ask more from the restaurant. Would definitely recommend.
