The Ritz Place Starlight Room

This is an excellent venue for special occasions, especially weddings. I'm not sure about the pricing, but the location is fantastic!

We chose this venue for our wedding, and it was simply stunning and ideal for our needs. We had around 50 guests, but there's plenty of space to accommodate even more comfortably. They took care of arranging the tables, tablecloths, and chairs for us. We opted for minimal decorations since the venue is already so beautiful on its own. If you're searching for an affordable location for a wedding, birthday, or any other celebration, I highly recommend this place. The owner, Meredith, is also incredibly helpful and friendly. From the moment we arrived, we absolutely loved it! The venue is gorgeous, and Meredith is incredible to work with. We had a truly perfect day! Parking was convenient for our guests, and the kitchen area was fantastic for the caterers. The bathrooms were easily accessible, and they arranged the tables and chairs exactly as we requested—all we had to do was decorate! I can't praise Meredith and the Ritz Place Starlight Room enough. The venue was beautiful and easily customizable, though it was already stunning on its own without any decorations. Meridith truly went above and beyond for us, even in the face of some disagreements from our mothers! I could definitely hear my mom being loud, so I hope that didn't upset Meridith; she really did an incredible job and is absolutely fantastic. I will be telling my grandchildren about this place because it was that wonderful. The experience and atmosphere were perfect. Thank you so much for everything!

We both enjoyed the loaded potato soup and Reuben sandwiches, and I can honestly say they exceeded my expectations. The soup was rich, hot, and truly homemade—so many places claim to serve homemade soup but actually serve frozen versions. I know this because I used to work at a private school that served the same types of soups that many restaurants in Springfield pass off as homemade. I can’t wait to try something different next time. The Reuben sandwich is my go-to when I can’t make up my mind. Having sampled Reubens from probably 50 different restaurants in my life, I can confidently say that many use processed corned beef. I was pleased to see that the Ritz uses pulled, shredded corned beef from a whole cut of meat. The owner is even considering making his own sauerkraut! The marble rye bread was perfectly grilled, and the Thousand Island dressing was homemade too. The Ritz embodies everything I cherish about venturing out of the city. Once you’re off the highway, quaint diners and delis like this one turn any road trip, even if it’s just 20 miles, into a delightful adventure filled with treasures. I can't wait to return!
