Rose and Potter is well worth a visit. The first thing you notice is the atmosphere. It's just right. The lighting is soft and the walls are tastefully decorated. Timeless style. None of the fluff. We had a mixed platter and a warm goats cheese salad. Everything on the plate was restaurant quality. They even cure their own meats. It's not often you see this kind of dedication in a wine bar. Speaking of wine... Had it not been a school night, I'd have been all over it. Some of the bottles they have are of peerless origins that are rarely offered around these parts. For good measure, they stir an Old Fashioned. Whoever stocks the back bar clearly knows what they are doing. It's intimate, calming and welcoming. Refreshingly unfamiliar.
