Checkered Pig Bbq Ribs - Martinsville

As someone who loves BBQ, I really enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. The process of getting seated, ordering, and leaving was quick and simple. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was tasty, but the portion sizes were a bit small. For example, the brisket sandwich was served on a small dinner roll, which seemed like a case of shrinkflation. Using a standard burger bun size would have made the meal more satisfying and likely to bring me back for another visit.

Service was excellent and the food was very delicious. The best part of Adam made us feel like family, so if you stop in the area and see for yourself?

Great food! This is the best BBQ in the central/south vest VA. It's worth the ride. Always moist delicate meat with a wide selection of sides. All at the restaurant are super friendly to ensure that you have what you need to enjoy your meal. We ate in the restaurant, but we took something later!

Fantastic local favorite we tried while through Martinsville area. Definitely a place I would recommend again. Our waitress was on site, all around great service. Our party of 7 tried a variety of proteins, and each dish was cleaned Only delicious with everything we tried. Hush puppies, loved, loved her. Collard Greens I enjoyed them but they were *different* Only not your normal smoked turkey Cajun, most tend to brisket my 3 slices were juicy wonderful my wife is not so much. A little dry, end pieces more fat than she had hoped, but had no problems devoting it. I could eat daily, for the rest of my life is good. Mac n Cheese Meh, it was OK. Children loved it, that's what really matters! French fries so crisp light a big hit with the children. Brownies are heated. Cakey, but delicious. Brownie pie disappeared pretty fast. Blackberry Cobbler oh my. I haven't tried yet, but I bought two bags. We hope to visit again soon!

The service at this restaurant was excellent - our food arrived quickly and was mostly delicious. The onion rings were disappointing, but the fries were fantastic. I ordered a BBQ sandwich, which was good, and my wife got a club sandwich that was amazing. The tea was passable. When the waitress learned it was my birthday, she offered me a free dessert and listed the options. I chose the banana pudding and was thrilled with my choice. It was not the typical store-bought version, but instead a homemade treat with meringue on top, just like my grandma used to make. It was still warm when it arrived at our table, and we couldn't resist sharing it, even though I wanted it all to myself. The waitress was friendly, the service was quick, and the prices were reasonable. I will definitely return to this restaurant.
