It's been years since I walked to a good Vietnamese place, so when I started a new job from Dorsett, I was PUMPED to drive past DD Mau STL. Honestly, one of the best railways Mi I've ever had, and the price for what you get is quite unbeatable. I'm not going to eat much because the availability of healthy options in STL is always met or miss, but the food tastes like it's just from one of my mother's kitchen! So light and fresh! I look forward to trying the Pho Ga and Combo Pho. I'll be back as much as my diet allowed!!
I live quite far from most Vietnamese restaurants in STL, so it was an absolute surprise when I heard that you would be so close to me (2-3 minutes drive). They offer a wide selection of Vietnamese dishes that I can drive around all the time. My favorite is now the pork Vermicelli bowl (with extra pork and noodles of course). The pig is just really grilled and it is a perfect blend of meat and fat. The vegetables are tasteful and fresh and instead of just being a garnish in the bowl, it is honest the main star when you add the Vinaiigrette. But above all they serve Pho! And it's so close to me, so if I bless afterwards, I'll be able to eat it within minutes! There are so many apps, entrees, sauces and drinks to choose from, but you honestly cannot go wrong with any choice. Try something new and I doubt you will be disappointed. Portion sizes are generous and independent of what I get, I am always full and happy, but without the guilt or the 'heavy' feeling after eating a great meal. All in all I am so happy DD Mau is here close to me and I hope they will be here for a while!
Soooo good! The owner is friendly and helpful. Tons of taste in everything we tried. Ice coffee is delicious. The next day had to come back for more coffee and food.
I had the pork bao sliders and a chicken salad bowl. Everything was fresh and delicious. I'm excited to have this place in Maryland Heights!
