The Admiral's Galley Keg - Marystown

My experience was decent; we arrived and the restaurant wasn 't busy, leading me to doubt the experience to come. Gave the spot a chance and it delivered; I always have medium rare steak (bloodied) with extra steak spice, w/ all the trimmings, vegetables on the side or whatever new sides I 've yet to try. Whenever I 'm dining at a new location it 's my staple go to meal. My steak wasn 't as bloodied as I wanted, however, it was satisfactory for the price of $20.49 tax. The wait time was very reasonable; i couldn 't scrutinize this fact, spent most of my time conversing with colleagues. Everyone was pleased with their meal; the servers we had was very humorous and kind, we 'll definitely be returning here for a second meal. I don 't like to judge a restaurant based on one single dining experience. Lastly the setting is somewhat 'open and relaxed '. If you do visit Marystown; do try and visit this location, it 'll be a more suitable standard of what to expect dining-wise in the area. Came for round 2; very pleased with my meal, tried the traditional fish 'n ' chips. Though pan fried it was superb and scrumptious. Will have more to say over the next time I 'm back.

People are great! Food is good. They'll tell you if the seafood is fresh or not, all you have to do is ask . I had a good experience. The view from the booths looks nice but since there were people sitting there I didn't get a good photo, but I got of one shot..they also have take out.

Traveling through Newfoundland and found this great restaurant using Yelp. Pan fried cod was recommended by our server and she was spot on. Delicious fish, fries and slaw. Perfect lunch!

This is the best restaurant in town, only by default. The seafood is all fried but the steak and ribs are good. In particular, their fries are quite good. I've mostly had their fried chicken and fried fish. It gets pretty busy during dinner but there's not a ton of casual restaurants and bars in Marystown to choose from. They're not particular quick but they are one of the few bars around. If you get sick of having bad pizza and chinese food, you'll end up here eventually.

Food was good, tasty and served promptly. atmosphere was nice, service was attentive without being overbearing. had the burger platter, which was tastier than i was expecting given that it wasn't a homemade patty. overall everyone (4 adults and 2 children) was pleased with their meals
