Mascot Kebab

Mascot Kebab on Botany Road is a better choice than Mascot Kebab Deli near the station, thanks to its delicious lamb and fresh salad. However, the kebab here was pricier and perhaps a bit smaller. The spinach and cheese pide was well-cooked but lacked flavor, possibly due to the hard cheese used. Overall, the prices are reasonable, especially for the Mascot area.

Ordered from Deliveroo and got the order in less then half an hour. Surprised at how big the serving was, and equally at how delicious the pide I ordered was (kiymali consisting ground beef, tomato, onion, capsicum, parsley and spices). <br/ <br/ Definitely recommend this place for a quick meal!

The kebabs are delicious, and the chips are always perfect whenever I order them. The pizza slices are also great—I really love the bread they use, and the chicken is the same flavorful chicken they use for the kebabs.

Can’t go passed this place for a classic kebab or gozleme; they do good value meals. Located in the Mascot shops, this is a good lunch or snack option.

*March 2018* I returned to the restaurant for a dine-in experience this time. We ordered the snack pack, which included a standard beef kebab topped with cooked onions, along with BBQ sauce, mayo, and a slice of meat lovers pizza that had the largest dough base I've ever seen. The food was absolutely amazing and delicious. The service was even better, so I feel compelled to raise my review score to a 4. *New pictures have been added!* *December 2017* I stopped by Mascot Kebabs for a late dinner at 10:30 PM after taking my dog for a walk, planning to order something to take away. The staff were friendly and engaging. I was hoping to order a fresh pide, but unfortunately, the oven was turned off at 9 PM, meaning no fresh pizzas or pides were available. Instead, we opted for a pre-made spicy beef gozleme from the hotbox, along with a beef snack pack and a piece of baklava to share for dessert. The EFT machine was having issues, so we had to pay in cash. When we got home, we were excited to enjoy our meal, only to discover that we were accidentally given a spinach and cheese gozleme instead of the spicy beef we ordered. I was quite disappointed, but the gozleme turned out to have a good flavor. Adding some beef from the snack pack improved it. The snack pack itself was excellent, generously loaded with meat and plenty of sauces, and they definitely don’t skimp on the extras (in our case, cheese). The baklava had that delightful rose water flavor, was rich and oily, and wasn’t overly sweet like many mass-produced versions tend to be. Ultimately, the taste and flavors saved the meal. I’ll definitely give it another shot before 9 PM next time to try and get a fresh pide. Fingers crossed they get the order right then!
