I could sum it up by saying it is Capital Grill pricing with a bit of Applebee’s service and atmosphere. For the money, I would expect a white tablecloth. I would expect the service to be up a couple of notches. The staff were friendly and nice, but the service level wasn’t adequate for the money. The presentation was average. The ribeye was thin and lacked flavor and a bit tough to cut in a couple of spots. Mohegan has Micheal Jordan’s, Encore has Rare, both are significantly better than this steakhouse. I will stick to those for the foreseeable future.
Felt rushed. When our waiter arrived he barely said anything and rushed us to order. After our food arrived he never came back to see if everything was okay or to see if we needed anything else. I would have liked another drink. After getting the check he took forever to take the payment. The food was not anything special, was expecting better. Probably won't go back.
We reserved the private room for a special occasion. When we got to the stand, the staff told us there was no reservation for the private room and they they would set it up for us. We stood around for at least 20 minutes awkwardly watching staff stumble around, building menus as guests were arriving. There appeared to be zero preparation before guests arrived and even less care about treating guests with any kind of dignity. The food was truly unemarkable. It's hard to imagine why this establishment has any credibility. The young woman at the stand and the waitress were decent but even they couldn't erase the rocky start, general disregard for guests time and lackluster food.
Wife and I ate there Wednesday. Service was great (as usual). One thing I have to say; the beef short ribs were the best I have ever had. And I'd like to add that I am a big critic of that dish. Can't wait to go back!
Late night dinner at David Burke Prime. The pork chop was huge and the crab cake was good…wish the crab cake appetizer wasn’t breaded. Food presentation was on point.
