Il Cantuccio - Mata de São João

A very nice meal at IL Cantuccio. Both mains we had were very nice, one definitely was homemade pasta the other not so sure but regardless both were very tasty

Great selection of pastas and sauces. We had 2 picky eating youngsters in our group and both cleaned their plates. We will definitely come back for seconds

It's a lovely atmosphere, the service is good. It's good to have a reservation for bigger groups, it's a small restaurant, most with local customers, they know what's good. The pasta are very tasteful, it was a great surprise for this hidden restaurant, not in...the middle of the crowd of turists. I want to try more from the menu, we will return shortly. The food is superb!

This place is owned by an Italian. In Brazil. That alone makes it worth a visit. Very simple atmosphere in a side street just near the main street, that hides the refinement of their great pasta menu, with emphasis on the fresh sea food sauces....Highly recommend the Napoletana sauce over the homemade Maltagliati pasta. Best I ever tasted (tried it at 20 places at least). Also consider going for the Shrimp Brie cheese Tagliatelle. Simply wonderful.

Praia do Forte has many options for eating but very few are as rewarding as this little Italian restaurant tucked away from the crowds, in a small alley and with outside tables among greenery. The Italian lady owner oversees it daily and makes sure the...home-made pastas and sauces are always fresh and delicious. It offers a great variety of pasta (I love the nero di seppia option! at VERY reasonable prices, and at lunchtime there´s always an executive option which is much cheaper still. Even if your stay in PRaia do Forte is short, DO NOT MISS this jewel of a place.
