Sabor Da Vila - Mata de São João

Had group dinner for 40 people. The rest is clean. Toilets were clean and welcomed to refresh after hot day. The seafood was all bought in Sync and they were perfect. A dazzling dish that continues to cook as it came to the table.. what was... also a good and bad thing. Perfectly cooked and hot when it arrived, but after 15 minutes everything had boiled. The staff was fantastic and attentive. Beer and wine cold. A great place to dine.

We visit Praia do Forte every year and try to find the best Muqueca de Camarao. The winner 2019 was Sabor da Vila.

Not the most impressive restaurant fronts, but the offer is very high. The sizzling wicy prawn starter was excellent followed by a stock plate of moqueca was equally inviting. Miriam's service was also high quality. With a good bottle... from Malbec the evening was a great success

We have been coming to Praia do Forte for many years and eat every time in Sabor Da Vila, sometimes every night. In a village full of restaurants Sabor Da Vila is always at the top of the list for food and special service....Most staff have been here for years and it shows. The food is well run standard Bahian Fare with fresh fish and seafood of the main focus. The Ensopado de Peixe Modo de Zeqinho is our favorite. It is a fish stew with various vegetables, bananas and a hard boiled egg. You can't go wrong with shrimp. For an appetizer, try the grilled octopus served on a hot iron grill, very tasty and delicate. Caipiroskas are great, but can be slow as everyone is made to order with crushed fresh fruits of your choice. If beer is more, ask for a canopy and they bring a bucket of ice and beer to the table and you pay only for those you open. It is worth getting familiar with the servers and the two owners as if they know they treat you like license or family that is the same in Bahia.

Service is great The moqueca and the fish both tasted amazing. I had to go back there to eat them again The shrimp pastel is not that good Margarita didnt taste good but the pineapple caipiroska was nice
