In this charming restaurant in Matala we experienced a completely successful fishing trip! The anticipation began when we reserved a table, where the extremely charming boss assured us with a charming smile that he would have a fish for two people ready for the next day. Our expectations were more than met the following day. The starter enticed with crispy pita, aromatic garlic bread and fresh tzatziki. For the main course, a perfectly grilled red snapper awaited us, accompanied by spicy vegetables and delicate potatoes exactly as we had wished. The price of 40 EUR for fish and vegetables seemed more than justified to us. The dry, fruity house wine with minimal acidity proved to be the ideal accompaniment. The culinary experience was rounded off with the obligatory raki and a Greek semolina cake. The restaurant itself presented itself in a very well kept atmosphere in which we felt completely at home.
