Belle Plage - Matane

Hotel Belle Plage is a gret place to stay in Matane. The staff is extremely friendly and helpfull. The rooms are clean and spacious. The view of the St-Lawrence River from the lobby is astounding. The hotel is oldish and a bit noisy (thin walls) and is need of a refresh. But the really affordable price and the positive attributes noted above way offset these little negative details. We spent 2 nights at your establishment. We stayed in a king bed room with a view of the beach... What a view! The sunset, the sea breeze, the sound of the birds, and the strolls along the beach would have been less enjoyable without the friendly, welcoming, and dedicated staff! Thank you for the comfortable cushions, the delicious brunches, and the authentic atmosphere: a true gem.

Reception staff very helpful and friendly. View fabulous if you don't look towards ferry port. Room clean but very dated, no AC and a fan bit only one socket to plug it in. Obviously used by travel agents booking clients onto the ferry, but wouldn't be my first choice for next time. Dinner in the restaurant was lovely, if a bit pricey, and again staff were great. My experience with this hotel, after trying around five hotels on our trip, was good. The view was fantastic. the staff were really friendly and the hospitalities very good. The only issue was that we could hear our neighbors in the room next door. The room itself was spacious and nice. We enjoyed our stay and had breakfast there, it was generally good, not very rich. One thing that bothered me was the parking situation. The manager told me to park in a space that wasn’t officially marked coz the parking was full. The next day, I found a scratch on my car door made by a key. Unfortunately, we didn’t notice it immediately and had already left the hotel. This really upset me, and I'll attach a photo of the scratch on my car door.
