Royal Curry - Matawan

I've been enjoying the best Indian food in Jersey for years. I used to live just around the corner, but now I travel past four other places for 35 minutes to get this delicious food. I particularly love the korma, naan, and samosas, but honestly, everything is fantastic!

A hidden gem indeed! We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance when our first choice was closed. While the ambiance isn’t outstanding, the food truly is incredible—especially the vegetable dishes we tried. My friend started with the soup and found it to be excellently prepared, setting our expectations high for a great lunch. He was right! We shared some egg biryani, special naans, and paneer kofta, and although we couldn't finish the biryani, each dish was crafted exceptionally well. I can't speak to the consistency of the non-veg options, but I'm definitely planning to return. Our waitress seemed somewhat disengaged, and when I complimented the man at the counter on how good our food was, he was too busy looking at his phone to respond. However, I won’t let these minor issues overshadow my overall positive experience.

The Indian food here is excellent. I've been ordering from this restaurant for years, even taking a 25-minute drive from Matawan just to enjoy the food. The staff are incredibly friendly as well.
