Swaad - Matosinhos

We ate dinner at Restaurante Swaad in Matosinhos on Wednesday, July 27th and had an incredible dining experience, noting both the service and the food. We had a flatbread called Kerala Parota which was so tasty! We also had the UIlI Vada/Onion Pakoda which is onion dumplings made from flour chickpeas served with a tasty dipping sauce. The flavor was addicting and I found myself wanting more. For the main course, I had the Kerala Mutton (Borrego) Caril which is a described as a traditional spicy mutton curry with coconut milk and spices. The mutton was literally falling off the bone and was extremely tender. The curry was just as amazing with so many wonderful flavors. My husband had the Chemmeen (Camarão) Thenga Pal Caril which is shrimp cooked with caramelized onions and tomatoes and tempered with coconut milk. The shrimp was perfectly cooked and again, had amazing flavors. For dessert, the server suggested we try the Gajar Halwa (Carrot and Cardamom Pudding) that was served with vanilla ice cream. The pudding was truly delicious with such a creamy texture that was enhanced by the velvety ice cream. The service was also excellent with the server being very attentive, friendly, with some very good suggestions for food and drinks. We definitely be going back to try more of their incredible dishes. I highly recommend Restaurante.

We saw reviews on Google and Facebook as where to eat local to the beach. Wow my wife who is vegan and myself vegetarian can honestly say 1 of the best meals we had recently. Would highly recommend to anyone. The service was exceptional and we were so happy that had to write a review which I do not do that often. Well done team and thank you.

Restaurant Swaad is the best place to visit who loves Real South Indian food. This Restaurant is elegant with an awesome vibe in Porto. I went for lunch with my friends and the food was amazing. The service was speedy and friendly. Their Masala dosa are absolutely incredible! And of course kerala style beef curry that was really great. I tried masala dosa, chicken biriyani, Appam with beef curry, Ullivada and Pazham pori, all the dishes was Really tasty .And the owner and staffs are really Friendly

This is really a nice restaurant. I have been there with friends and family and it was all great. The food is amazing and all the options are very original. With great vegetarian options also! We will certainly be back soon. It definitely worth a visit!
