Contribuisci feedbackI had lunch here with a group of work colleagues. We were in a hurry and someone suggested we all get a traditional dish based mostly on cheese. A small piece of ham on the bottom and perhaps a slice of bread. It came with salad and French fries. Just a lot of cheese for one setting. Service was good and the crowd suggested a good restaurant. I would go back but pass on that cheese dish. Nice atmosphere, clean, etc..
We couldn't get our Dubonnet. That is not surprising it seems that dinosaurs like me and Queen Elisabeth II are the only Dubonnet consumers left in the world. The very attentive and creative Maître d'Hotel suggested an Amer Picon (cinchona in it) with a dry white wine instead. It worked quite well. Mussels Galore! Large, good mussels with crisp chips. A Sabayone and coffee finished a perfect meal. The waiter is a positive guy that we now count among our (more distant, but still) friends.
Have tried a few dishes in the restaurant now, and the best I've had is the Salmon, which are a decent sized fillet with a crispy top and perfectly moist, pink fish underneath. The mussels also seem very popular, and the few times I have had them they have been a substantial sized pot full of mussels that take quite a while to get through. My only dislike was the amount of garlicky oil used on the Frogs Legs which totally overpowered the flavour of the food. Service is good, and the staff are very friendly and welcoming.
The presentation photo of this establishment is really badly chosen! a burger to tell nothing else. I spent ten times on the announcement, I didn’t open it! He was a colleague who recommended it. In fact, they are a brewery, of quality that presents "real dishes". as it is not to be proud of the first impression!
Bon restaurant de Maubeuge. Venu manger pour un repas entre collègues. Pour commencer, la salle est très jolie et se veut raffinée. Le service est agréable mais beaucoup d'attente pour être servit et le temps d'attente entre le plat et la commande des desserts a été interminable. Je suis partie avant la prise de commande des desserts laissant d'autres collègues finir leur repas. Points positifs: les portions sont très généreuses et plutôt bonne. Pour ma part, j'avais pris des rigatoni arrabiata. Assaisonnement très bon mais cuisson des pâtes pas maîtriser. Un peu trop de cuisson alors que j'adore les rigatonis Al dente. Pour le prix, ça reste raisonnable et le rapport qualité-prix est là. Points négatifs : mettez la carte de votre restaurant à jour sur votre site. Des plats plus à la carte, des prix avec des écart de 2€. Pour un restaurant qui se veut d'un certain standing, ça dénote un peu.
