Speights Ale House Blenheim - Mayfield

Loved everything service food and nice and warm on a cold night. Ribs as a entree was big enough as a main with chips. The brulee was amazing. Will be back.

Large ale house with wood styled decor. Good vibes and really busy so make sure you book. We both ordered the lamb shank, you can get medium or large which means one or two pieces of lamb. One piece was big enough for me and two pieces was a bit much unless maybe you’re starving. Vegetables were great, loved the mash and Kumara potatoes. I did like the lamb but there were a lot of fatty bits that I’ve not experienced anywhere else in NZ. I had a glass of the angus the bull cab sav which went really well.

Had a lovely lunch with some friends, a great wine and an amazing sauce that goes with lamb shank! Would come again for sure

Great place for lunch, chicken wrapped in bacon stuffed with cream cheese and cherries . Awesome!

The food was absolutely delicious we enjoyed our entire evening . The music, food, different cocktails. Lovely we will come back again. Highly recommended.
