This restaurant has great atmosphere, but unfortunately falls short in food. We were disappointed in the very thick, floury seafood chowder. It had a film of butter on top that was too much. The service was slow but friendly. Would not return.

On our return to the town of Maynooth since the pandemic, Avenue was first restaurant to visit, which was a thumbs up to everyone. We started with of orders of buffalo wings and ribs that were delish…the wings were bit a dry but the generous serving of buffalo sauce helped to remove the dryness of the fried wings. The buffalo sauce was a cracker. Next, the ribs were super delish smothered generously with homemade bbq sauce were absolute delight. Having these two appetizers and a bottle each of red and white wine to swish were certainly enough to fill cravings of 4; however, we continued with entrees of lamb shank, feathered fillet of beef, and smoked haddock and fried egg over risotto and fresh spring peas. All the entrees were equally good. The meat entrees were served with julienne root vegetables and the risotto over a bed fresh spring pea shoots. We ended our evening repast with a sticky toffee pudding to share, which was the perfect choice to end a wonderful evening as the first meet up family. Definitely worth a visit and return visits but be forewarned of the noise level, which could discourage a lively conversation.

We had a very pleasant anniversary meal here. The restaurant is busy and lively and in a convenient location. The service was friendly and excellent and they were kind enough to present us with complimentary Prosecco for our celebration. The food was of excellent quality and at a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

The place was buzzing for Lunch. The food was amazing, very well presented, great taste and flavours, good portions for the right price. The staffs are very friendly.
