Sieghard - Mayrhofen

Without a doubt one of the best and most wonderful restaurant visits I have ever made The tasting palette, the layup and the service was absolutely fabulous! The decor of the place is also very nice with lots of modern art and energy being...put into the tiny details giving a pleasant, welcoming feeling. For being started as a B B in 1975 and then expanded with their own restaurant in 1989 they have now grown into a very well respected restaurant that I can highly recommend. My immediate reaction was why they aren’t in the Michelin Guide, but apparently the guide for Austria is no longer covering the whole country! Instead they actually have 2‍ in Gault Millau! The Sieghard can take pride in using locally plucked chanterelles and their own “home brewed” snaps from blueberries! I wish to extend my curtesy to the Sieghard family; papa Sieghard, Christian and Sabrine for your excellent service and hospitality!

A traditional Austrian restaurant hotel with a taster menu at a very very good price. they match wines with each course to create a gourmet meal experience. The staff are attentive and helpful. The meals are artistically presented. Go as a real treat with someone...special
