Always when I go to mazatlan, this is my favorite stop, its openness to the street directly on the beach and over the street makes it the place to go after a day of swimming and walk along the golden sands of the golden zone. they are being married by jesus the manager who has run the place for years and married to a beautiful okanagan B.C lady. as soon as they get to know him, his welcome nickname is chuy (seen like Chew-wee). his main assistants are israel and giovanni, giovanni is a football player and a straight young man, and israel is great and good and of excellent character. Whenever my friends come to mazatlan to visit me while I am on vacation, I introduce them first in gus gus, as a spot for the last nightcap after a night before I go to bed. the bands are usually rock and roll, but for everyone with a lot of music and melodies. her menu has a series of tasty foods and as a cook I always take a gander into the kitchen, and it is clean and very well run. there is no place where I had more fun in mexiko, and the bar is always full of surprises and a lot of laughs and laughs. in certain nights, feathered dancers appear directly in front of them and it is a display to remember. 10 out of ten for me!
Very bland and not very mexican with regard to taste and size of garnel. would not recommend. price also a bit high for what they get.
We thought of a afternoon snack, it was hot and too close to dinner for lunch, and too late to not have something after breakfast. ordered a queen, with tears and borons. Very good. nice eating in the free with shadows.
Gus Gus is one of our favorites in Mazatlan. They are consistently open late, offer great food and friendly service. We have been going to Mazatlan for 7 years and this is one of the consistent parts of our trip. Great place!
