I am not sure whether it was a cultural thing or the fact that my wife asked the question (a woman's place in his eyes was just calm?! it was a really stupid reaction he had to her and made us both very unpleasant.
Excellent food and service. authentic medium-east food. I enjoyed it very much also the hospitality
We love to support entrepreneurs and we were thrilled to eat the lamb in this special restaurant. we entered a very dark dining room. the heart gave us the menu without smile or welcome. he seemed turned off when we didn't order drinks. he was impatient to take our order. we were the only ones. we ordered a vegetarian sampler and a slumber. the lamb was acceptable. it was not as tasteful as we know it can be. the parts of the sampler and the instructions to the lamb were relatiw blande. the grape leaves were not recognizable. the leaves seemed as if they were microsaturated and fell apart and tasteless. the tabouleh was a minimal part and the sauces were spersome and bland. the Pita-Brot was a tasteless sponge that breaks apart, in contrast to the real, fresh pitas we had. the owner/server never asked how to eat, never smiled. it was a very depressing place that was led by a lifeless person. we will not return.
We accidentally came across this place and it was fantastic! We had lamb kabobs, kibbe (kippe), beef shawarma sandwich and tabouleh- all were so fresh and flavorful! Chef and his wife speak perfect English, were friendly and helpful. Prices were very reasonable. Would absolutely recommend...and will certainly be back!
This is our second time dining here. The husband and wife team provide a great taste experience, especially if you are looking for something outside the usual in Mazatlan. Don’t get me wrong, I could easily live on delicious fresh seafood that Mazatlan has in...abundance... The standouts here are: Kibbeh why haven’t I had this before? The seasonings were spectacular. The dish took me back in time. Hummus, my wife’s favorite the world over. Delicious tender Mexican lamb. Mint Tea It is byob so we brought a bottle of our own wine. The owners are fine with this though they do have great non alcoholic drinks. Ie mint tea I haven’t been to Jordan yet so I cannot comment on the coffee or baklava. I think my taste has been spoiled by Americanized versions:
