Puerto Viejo Restaurant - Mazatlán

Puerto Viejo close their doors... there is a condo proyect instead on this place!... the entire Olas Altas and old Mazatlan is currently under remodelation... the outcome is expected to be spectacular!... many restaurants hace temporarily closed during this 2017 Summer and is expected to re-open Oct-Nov

For the last 10 years I have been eating....... and drinking at Puerto Viajo, Food, is dependable. but, they know me. I always take friends there. Frodays , music. so so.

This is a great local kinda bar. The food is really good, except they tend to overcook the calamari. The ceviche is always fresh and the Mango Margueritas are yummy. The drink prices are very reasonable $40 pesos house gin & tonic. The staff are all fun and efficient and all the bands are pretty darned good.It's kinda like Cheers, but better. Spectacular view and very safe. Will miss them when they move around the corner. The staff is staying, but no view. Boo Hoo.

Un amable conductor de Pulmonías nos recomendó este restaurant, y fue de las mejores recomendaciones que he recibido en tres meses de viaje. Una esquina situada justo de cara al malecón, desde donde puede apreciarse en todo su esplendor el atardecer mazalteco. Está a tres cuadras de plaza Machado, uno de los puntos turísticos más bellos de la ciudad. La comida es de una calidad excelente, y los precios al alcance de cualquier viajero. Como muestra de su calidad, en una mesa vecina dos ancianas, ex-compañeras de colegio primario, se reencontraban en este mágico punto que es un must de la visita a Mazatlán. Especial el aguachile de camarón y el sashimi

We first ate here a couple of years ago (2015?) and didn't think it was remarkable, but this time it was great! Generous portions of delicious guacamole. Some of the best tortilla soup in Mazatlan. Good onions rings and delicious shrimp ceviche! The margaritas were tasty with lots of tequila and the prices were very good. We also had a good breakfast here one morning. The shrimp omelette was very good and served with chilaquilles. We found the service to be consistently good and very friendly. It is right across the street from the sea wall so it's a good place for sunset or just to watch the ocean and see people strolling. We will definitely add this to our list of good solid places!
